Canon has recently stated that their interchangeable-lens digital cameras (digital SLR and mirrorless cameras) had held the top spot in the worldwide market for 19 years 1 from 2003 to 2021.
Canon developed the essential imaging system components used in its EOS series of digital interchangeable-lens cameras, including CMOS image sensors, image processors, and interchangeable lenses, with the basic concept of “Speed, Comfort, and High Image Quality” in mind. Canon debuted the groundbreaking EOS Kiss Digital (EOS Digital Rebel or EOS 300D in various territories) in September 2003, at the start of digital SLR cameras.
